During the bottom of the seventh inning in today’s Chicago White Sox game, Nick Madrigal went down with an apparent injury. After trying to beat a slow roller down the first baseline, Madrigal passed first and dropped to the ground with apparent right hamstring soreness and was not able to get up under his own power.

The Chicago White Sox were leading 2-1 at the time of the injury. Madrigal’s numbers, including slugging, will be missed as the Sox surely won’t be facing anymore right-handers today. Danny Mendick came in as a defensive replacement to play second base and hit ninth.
Madrigal will be further evaluated tomorrow.
