After the scary February crash that sidelined Tiger Woods, NBC Sports is putting forth their effort in keeping the name “Tiger” in golf.

Tiger Woods was approached by NBC Sports to join their broadcast team. The world renowned golfer declined attending the Open at Torrey Pines as both a golfer and commentator. Woods is taking this time to lay low, and remove himself from the spotlight while regaining strength and character to move forward in both his personal and professional life.

Woods has not competed in a PGA event since the Masters last November. The accident required Woods to undergo back surgery, which has kept him sidelined since. Fans are hoping that the golf legend returns to the course at some point.
