Old Town Art Fair
Over 200 artists will take to the streets of Old Town this weekend. The Fair includes 50 local gardens, live music, and most importantly food and drink from local restaurants. Admission is free but registration is required for entry.

Illinois Brewery Running Series
This 5k race is visiting Chicago’s breweries weekly. This week’s location will be Revolution Brewing. Participants will receive a free craft beer, collectors pint glass, and door prizes. Other festivities and games will be part of the event as well.

Time: 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Navy Pier Fireworks
Navy Pier is back open and will be featuring firework shows on Wednesday and Saturday nights from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The show is free of charge and you’ll be able to take in the display from any open areas on the Pier.
Various smaller concerts
Lollapalooza and Riot Fest both announced their full lineups for the summer. This has been the largest piece of positive news for the music industry here in Chicago since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

White Sox (38-24) at Tigers (26-36)

The White Sox took two of three from the Blue Jays this week. While there were several exciting moments during the series, the White Sox also lost Nick Madrigal to a hamstring injury. The South Siders look to continue their resilient winning ways when they travel to the Motor City to square off with the Tigers this weekend. Cubs (35-27) at Cardinals (32-30)

After taking two of three in San Diego during the week, the Cubs return home to a full capacity Wrigley Field. They took care of business Friday in the series opener against the Cardinals and will look to do more of the same the rest of the weekend.
