The Chicago White Sox (43-25) are headed to Houston to take on the Astros (39-28) in a four-game weekend series. The red-hot White Sox recently claimed the best record in Major League Baseball with a 2-1 series win over the Tampa Bay Rays, which concluded with an exciting walk-off victory in the finale. The Astros, who have won seven of their last ten games, are coming off a two-game sweep of the Texas Rangers.

The resiliency of the White Sox has been on display all season long. The South Siders just continue to find ways to win. The White Sox are 8-2 in their last ten games and have four straight series wins heading into their upcoming set against the Astros. Another major test presents itself as the White Sox travel to Houston to play a hot Astros squad that is 7-3 over their last ten contests. The Astros currently rank first in baseball in batting average, seventh in home runs, first in on-base percentage, first in slugging percentage, and first in OPS.

This series should have all the makings of a heavyweight matchup. The White Sox starting pitching staff has been arguably the best in the Major Leagues. Pitching coach (whisperer) Ethan Katz has helped make this staff one of the most feared starting fives in the league.
