After choosing to opt out of the 2020 NFL season, Marquise Goodwin is attempting a comeback to the NFL. The Chicago Bears signed Goodwin to a one-year deal after the new league year started. He is fighting for a roster spot with the Bears alongside Riley Ridley, Damiere Byrd, and others.

Olympic Long Jump

Interestingly, Goodwin is competing in the long jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials Friday. This isn’t his first attempt at representing the USA in the event. He competed in the 2012 London Olympics where he placed tenth in the long jump.

Goodwin also competed in college as well. For the University of Texas Longhorns, Goodwin managed to secure two NCAA victories in 2010 and 2012.

It will be fascinating to watch Marquise Goodwin compete in the long jump at the 2020 Olympics. It’s possible that if he does well, it might help him secure that coveted roster spot on the Chicago Bears.
