With phase one of MLB All-Star fan voting now over, the Cubs officially have five finalists at their respective positions.

Willson Contreras, Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez, Kris Bryant, and Joc Pederson are all finalists to start in the 2021 MLB All-Star game. Everyone minus Pederson finished top three at their respective positions, where Pederson is one of nine outfield finalists.

Phase two of fan voting will begin on Monday, June 28. Fans will vote from the pool of finalists to choose the All-Star starters for the mid-summer classic on July 13.

Joc Pederson’s lone All-Star appearance came in 2015 with the Dodgers. As for the others, Contreras and Baez have two All-Star appearances each, while Bryant and Rizzo each have three appearances.
