University of Dayton guard Jalen Crutcher worked out with the Chicago Bulls today. Crutcher is projected to go in the late second round of the upcoming 2021 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-1 senior had his best season in college averaging 17.6 PPG, 3.5 RPG, and 4.8 APG. Jalen shot 46% from the field, 37% from three-point land, and 76% from the free-throw line.
Crutcher is an undersized playmaking guard. He could be an intriguing player to watch in the Summer League. Crutcher can get his teammates into their sets, and if that doesn’t work, he can create for himself. It’s no secret the Chicago Bulls are looking for point guard help. Maybe they think Crutcher can be a late round pick that could potentially work out as a quality role player.
The Chicago Bulls will most likely work out a ton of second round picks, or players that may go undrafted. Without a first round pick in this year’s draft, they need to get creative and find talented prospects.
