Windy City Smokeout

Chicago’s first concert festival of 2021 is here. On Friday night, Windy City Smokeout will feature Darius Rucker as the headliner. Dierks Bentley will headline Saturday and Jon Pardi is Sunday’s featured act. Beyond the music, plenty of BBQ and beer make this festival one of the best of the summer.
Taste of Chicago To-Go
While the Taste of Chicago won’t happen like it usually does this year due to budget cuts, there will be a to-go style setup at various locations around the city. Click here for more information.
Southport Art Fair
A less crowded festival this year will be the Southport Art Fair. Attendees will be able to peruse works of art up and down Southport and Waveland.
Illinois Brewery Running Series
This 5k race is visiting Chicago’s breweries weekly. This week’s locations will be Burning Bush Brewery (Saturday) and Twisted Hippo (Sunday). Participants will receive a free craft beer, collectors pint glass, and door prizes. Other festivities and games will be part of the event as well.

The White Sox got some encouraging news this week as Eloy Jimenez is set to begin a rehab assignment at Class High-A Winston Salem on Friday. The Sox will look to continue building on their 7.5-game AL Central division lead when they visit the Orioles this weekend. Fire (3-2-7) – OFF, Next game vs. Nashville (4-7-1)

The Fire are off this week, but they’ll be in action next Saturday night when they host Nashville SC at Soldier Field.
Red Stars (3-2-4) at Houston Dash (4-1-3)

After defeating the OL Reign last Friday, the Red Stars look to continue their winning ways when they visit the Houston Dash on Sunday evening.
