Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine is entering Team USA’s Healthy and Safety protocol list. LaVine will not be able to travel to Tokyo with the rest of the team. There is hope that this clears up and Zach can join Team USA later this week.

This is the second time Zach has been placed on the health and safety protocol list. In mid-April 2021, Zach was placed on the list while enjoying the best statical NBA season in his seven-year career. Zach missed 11 games due to the positive COVID-19 test.

This is Zach LaVine’s first time representing the United States of America in the Olympics. Surely he will do everything he can to travel to Tokyo and compete for an Olympic Gold Medal. Team USA teammate, Bradley Beal, was replaced on the team due to a positive COVID-19 test. So, here’s to hoping that this doesn’t force Zach to miss what he has called a dream of his.

Zach was third in scoring for Team USA who went 2-2 in their four exhibition games.
