The Chicago Bulls have been active in free agency so far. Lonzo Ball is now a Bull, DeMar DeRozan is now a Bull, and Alex Caruso has joined the team, too. After these signings, all of which have been celebrated more than criticized, the Bulls’ biggest need was a solid backup center. Now, it appears Tony Bradley will be filling that role in Chicago on a two-year deal for the veteran’s minimum with a player option for the second year.
While not Bulls legend and all-around G.O.A.T. Cristiano Felicio, Bradley is a productive and efficient big on both offense and defense. The 6-foot-10 center stays around the paint for his buckets, but he makes them at a high clip. For his past two seasons, Bradley has shot over 66% from the field in each of those seasons. In 16.3 MPG last season, Bradley averaged 7.1 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 0.7 BPG on 66.5% shooting. He will be able to fortify the second unit both offensively and defensively, as well as slot in nicely sharing the floor with Nikola Vučević or Patrick Williams.
Welcome to Chicago, Tony Bradley!
