Bears’ Left Tackle Larry Borom in Concussion Protocol

Will the Bears have anyone left to play left tackle?

Today, Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced that left tackle Larry Borom is in the concussion protocol. He will miss practice today and will be evaluated further.

The injury now leaves the Bears with few options at left tackle. With fellow rookie Teven Jenkins still out of practice due to a back injury, the Bears are running out of options.

At this point of training camp, with the first preseason game roughly a week away, the Bears absolutely need to repair the left tackle position. There are free agent options like Russell Okung. Now that Larry Borom is hurt, the possibility that the Bears head into their first preseason game without a starting left tackle is beginning to look like ever more probable.
