Ahead of the highly-anticipated Field of Dreams game, the Chicago White Sox recalled infielder Danny Mendick as their 27th player.

In 58 games for the White Sox this season, Mendick owns a .195/.302/.266 slash line with two home runs and 19 RBIs.

The White Sox assigned Mendick to Triple-A Charlotte on July 30 following the trade deadline acquisition of Cesar Hernandez. In nine games for the Knights, Mendick slashed .265/.359/.382 with one home run, one double, and two RBIs.

The White Sox and Yankees will square off at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa at 6 PM Central on FOX tonight.
