NBC Universal’s Peacock has ordered a TV adaptation of Field of Dreams (1989) direct to series. Michael Schur is the show’s creator, he of The Office, Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine fame. Schur will also write the series.

Field of Dreams will be the first true drama on Schur’s resume, but his shows have woven in strong dramatic elements over the years when you look back to early episodes of The Office compared to where we ended up with The Good Place.

Schur is a great choice for this project. He’s had a ton of success with shows for NBC over the pat 15 years, and he is a huge baseball fan. He joined Chicago White Sox announcer Jason Benetti in the booth for a guest spot in 2019.
