Chicago Bulls’ newly acquired forward DeMar DeRozan recently appeared on the “No Chill Podcast” with Gilbert Arenas. DeRozan said he was heavily recruited by Bulls’ guard Zach LaVine and former USC teammate Nikola Vucevic.
DeRozan mentioned that he and Vucevic had previously talked about teaming up. When Vucevic was traded to the Bulls, he knew there was a possibility. DeRozan added that the two-time NBA All-Star was even more instrumental in his recruitment than Zach LaVine.
DeRozan also responded to the many critics saying he’s “not a good fit” with the Bulls, stating those detractions are “bullshit”.
DeRozan continued discussing his new team by complimenting LaVine on his growth as a player. DeRozan also praised newly acquired point guard Lonzo Ball.
Below is a snippet from the podcast that DeRozan appeared on. He has high praise for the Bulls roster and is clearly excited to get to work with his new team.
