The Cubs and Rockies will play a doubleheader on Wednesday due to severe weather in Chicago on Tuesday night. The teams will play a doubleheader with games at 1:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. CDT.

Both teams have scheduled off days on Thursday. However, rather than trying to cram the third game in on Thursday, Wednesday will feature a doubleheader. The Rockies travel to Los Angeles to start a three-game series with the Dodgers on Friday. As for the Cubs, they travel to the other side of town for the second installment of the Crosstown Classic with the White Sox.

Due to Tuesday’s postponement, Justin Steele and German Marquez will be featured in one of the two games tomorrow. This is the second start of Steele’s big league career that will occur in a seven-inning game. Its uncertain which game will feature Marquez for Colorado, but Steele is confirmed to be starting the second game on Wednesday.
