Woah! Stop me if you heard this one before! The Chicago Bears are currently listening to offers for former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. This is according to Albert Breer of NBC Sports Boston. The Chicago Bears acquired Nick Foles in March of 2020 for a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Foles appeared in nine games for the Bears in the 2020 NFL Season in which he started seven games. The numbers were putrid and he ended up only winning two of the seven games started. Foles threw 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also sported a 64% completion rate and his yards per attempt was 5.9.

The reason Foles was brought to Chicago is because head coach Matt Nagy was confident Foles knew his system. Foles played in the system Nagy has been trying to implement since he arrived in 2017. It didn’t work out and Foles eventually returned to the bench in favor of former Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. It was rumored this offseason that the team that drafted Foles, the Philadelphia Eagles, were interested in bringing him back. That didn’t work out because it was also rumored that he did not want to return to the Eagles, so they stopped pursuing him.
At this point, it makes sense that the Bears are listening to offers for Foles. He is now a third-string quarterback behind Andy Dalton and Justin Fields. Will a team actually make a trade for him? Or are the Bears going to have to cut their losses? Only time will tell. At least now they’re actively trying to move him.
