LaMarcus Aldridge Has the Bulls ‘On His Radar’

According to K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports Chicago, the Chicago Bulls are very much on the radar of free-agent forward LaMarcus Aldridge.

Aldridge retired from the NBA last season after a heart condition was identified. However, in a strange turn of events, Aldridge was cleared of said condition and expressed interest in returning to the NBA.

Now, reports indicate the 16-year NBA veteran is interested in the revamped Chicago Bulls as a landing spot. Although Aldridge’s addition won’t carry the same weight it once did in his career, he is still a good enough player to help the Bulls during the 2021-22 season. The Bulls have a dire need at the power forward position, and at minimum Aldridge would provide depth at the position.

The seven-time All-Star has played 1,029 career games and averages 19.4 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 2.0 APG over the course of his career. In 26 games last season in Brooklyn, the Texas product averaged 13.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 1.9 APG before his early retirement.
