Chicago Bears’ nose tackle Eddie Goldman is out again this week against the Cleveland Browns. The Bears announced that Goldman is not making the trip with the team.
Goldman’s limited practice was reassuring but feels redundant now. The defensive lineman took a step backwards and is still missed on the defensive side of the ball. His presence along with Akiem Hicks in the middle are the most important factors in stopping the Browns’ fantastic run-first offense.
After the Bears downgraded Goldman, they brought defensive tackle Margus Hunt up from the practice squad. The 34 year-old lineman has spent time with the Bengals, Colts, and Saints before joining the Bears.
