The Chicago Bulls have signed free agent center Daniel Oturu to a training camp deal. This move comes days after the Bulls revealed that second-year forward Patrick Williams sustained an ankle injury.

Oturu, a second-round pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, appeared in 30 games for the Los Angeles Clippers in 2020-21. He averaged 1.8 PPG and 1.6 RPG in 5.4 minutes per game. The Bulls must see some potential in the 6-foot-8 center. The depth down low has been a concern since the offseason started, so this could end up being a low-risk signing. The Bulls preseason roster currently sits at 20. Though, the Bulls only have 13 guaranteed contracts heading into the 2021-22 season.

An NBA team can carry 15 roster spots in the regular season. Oturu will fight for one of the last two spots left with veteran Stanley Johnson, Alize Johnson, Ethan Thompson, and Matt Thomas.
