Tuesday came bearing bad news for the Chicago Bears. Per Tom Pelissero, the team will be without outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu for the rest of the season. Attaochu, who signed with team in March, suffered a torn pectoral muscle against the Raiders on Sunday.
Now, the injury leaves the Bears with only three outside linebackers. This likely means the team could be looking outside the organization to find a replacement. However, it appears for now the team will address the issue from within. Per Pelissero once again, the Bears are activating OLB/DL Sam Kamara from the practice squad.
Nevertheless, losing the 28-year-old OLB is a significant loss to the defense. However, this paves the way for a bigger scope and role for Trevis Gipson.
