The Chicago Bears practiced today, albeit indoors due to weather. Their number one wide receiver, among others, did not practice. According to Mark Grote of 670 The Score, Allen Robinson is dealing with an ankle injury.

Bears’ Injuries Aplenty

Multiple players did not practice today due to various injuries. Akiem Hicks is still out with the groin injury and Khalil Mack is nursing a foot injury.

It’s worth noting that J.P. Holtz and Caleb Johnson did not practice as well, without specific designations. After the Bears lost Jeremiah Attaochu for the season, these defensive injuries become much more crucial to watch out for. The depth on this Bears’ defense is waning and they cannot afford any significant injuries to crucial starters such as Mack or Roquan Smith.

There is some good news here. Kevin Fishbain also said that he’s not worried about Allen Robinson’s ability to play this weekend against Green Bay. Robinson was working with a trainer and that means that he at least got in some work today.

The other positive development is that Justin Fields was a full participant in practice today after getting banged up against the Raiders in Week 5. The upcoming matchup with the Green Bay Packers is looming large and the Bears need everyone available if they hope to have any shot at pulling off an upset.
