On Friday, the Chicago Bulls received good news regarding two players battling injuries. Second-year forward Patrick Williams, as well as guard Troy Brown Jr., are both reportedly ready to go for Friday’s home opener against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Patrick Williams was reportedly dealing with a left shoulder strain after Wednesday’s season opening win over the Detroit Pistons. However, despite the uncertainty surrounding the 2020 first-round pick, he himself said he is ready to go on Friday. His presence in the starting lineup is massive for the new look Bulls.

In addition, Troy Brown Jr.’s status is promising ahead of Friday’s first look of the new roster for fans at home.

Brown Jr. may not be a starter for the Bulls this season, but he will serve an important role off the bench. The former Washington Wizard’s value to the team cannot be understated, and many in the Bulls community refuse to let his value go unnoticed. How much of Brown Jr. we will see on Friday night remains to be seen. However, having a nearly healthy roster is a major key for the outlook of this 2021-22 season.

The Bulls and Pelicans tip off at 7:00 p.m. CDT at the United Center on Friday. The new look team in the Windy City will look to begin 2-0 and continue to pump a sense of optimism into the city of Chicago.
