Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn has been named a finalist for the 2021 AL Cy Young Award. He is up for the award along with Robbie Ray (Toronto Blue Jays) and Gerrit Cole (New York Yankees).

The right-hander was electric for the Sox this season, going 11-6 with a 2.69 ERA over 157 innings. Lance Lynn also struck out 176 batters during the 2021 season, all while becoming a fan favorite on the South Side of Chicago.

Lynn, who joined the White Sox last offseason in a trade that sent Dane Dunning to the Texas Rangers, signed a two-year, $38 million extension with the White Sox in July.

The winner of the Cy Young award will be announced on November 17 at 5 PM CT on MLB Network.
