Blackhawks Schedule Change: November 26 Start Time Pushed Back

The Blackhawks and Blues will now face off at 2:30 PM CST instead of a noon puck drop the day after Thanksgiving.

On Thursday morning, the NHL announced a time change regarding the Chicago Blackhawks vs. St. Louis Blues game scheduled for Friday, November 26.

Originally scheduled for 12 PM CST, the Blackhawks and Blues will now face off at 2:30 PM CST the day after Thanksgiving.

The timing change also affects the TV broadcast. Blackhawks vs. Blues will now air on ESPN+ and Hulu instead of ABC.

Unfortunately for Hawks fans, this means the game will not air on a local channel within the Chicagoland market. Turner Sports considers ESPN+ broadcasts “nationally televised” despite only being accessible through the paid streaming service.

The New York Rangers and Boston Bruins will now occupy the nationally televised noon time slot. While this change may not be popular among Blackhawks fans, it’s safe to assume the team’s abysmal 3-9-2 start to the season had something to do with it.
