The Chicago Bears caught a gigantic break this morning with the news that Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is out with an illness.
Lamar Jackson has been questionable all week long with an illness that the Ravens insist is not COVID-19. He flew to Chicago and was preparing in his own way to start against the Bears but now it is official that he’s not playing.
Tyler Huntley will take the reigns for Baltimore and lead their offense in his first start in the NFL. Huntley is a second-year player out of Utah and has appeared in only four games, all with Baltimore. He’s done very little in his time so far in his career.
The Bears are dealing with a plethora of injuries on the defensive front already. With Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, Danny Trevathan and Akiem Hicks already out, they have a tough task ahead.
The Bears are preparing for Tyler Huntley and have no doubt been inspired now that Lamar Jackson is out officially. The Ravens rushing attack is nothing to take lightly and it’s highly likely that John Harbaugh will be instituting a heavy dose of rushing plays.
