News broke Wednesday morning that Chicago Bulls combo guard Coby White has tested positive for COVID-19.

White made his season debut on November 15 after undergoing shoulder surgery this past offseason. He has been trying to acclimate himself to his new-look team, and when he was just starting to gain consistent minutes in the rotation, this news breaks.

On the season, White is averaging 6.1 PPG, 2.6 RPG, and 1.3 APG. He is shooting 35% from the field, 22% from downtown, and only 57% from the charity stripe. To say he has struggled since his return would be an understatement. However, he did show flashes of what fans are used to seeing from him in his two-year career on November 26 in a win against the Orlando Magic.

White was 9-11 from the field and 2-4 from downtown. He finished with 20 points, four boards, and an assist. White flashed the scoring prowess fans know and love him for. In the two games since, he has struggled. But, it is expected since he is working his way back from injury.

White is the second Bulls player to test positive for COVID-19 this season. Nikola Vucevic missed time in November after contracting the virus. Hopefully, White can recover quickly with no hiccups and rejoin the Bulls to help them to continue wining games. The Bulls currently sit second in the Eastern Conference.
