On Thursday, Elliotte Friedman dropped one of his famous Twitter bombs. This time, he’s suggesting the Chicago Blackhawks are sending goalie Malcolm Subban to the Buffalo Sabres.

It’s no secret that the Buffalo Sabres need a goalie. On the flip side, the Blackhawks have too many goalies in their system. Subban, Collin Delia, and Arvid Soderblom are all competing for playing time with the Rockford IceHogs while Marc-Andre Fleury and Kevin Lankinen man the net in Chicago.

Now, it appears Subban will get a chance at a consistent NHL job. Although not glamorous with the 8-11-3 Sabres, it’s a consistent opportunity for the former first-round pick to prove himself as an NHL-level goaltender.

UPDATE: Per the Buffalo Sabres, Malcolm Subban is heading to Buffalo for future considerations.
