Welp, Monday continued to Monday. Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan announced Alex Caruso will be of the lineup for at least a week due to a hamstring injury. Caruso, who was limited to just eight minutes of playing time in the 111-107 victory against Brooklyn Saturday, had already been listed as doubtful for Monday’s game against Denver.
The news arrived shortly after DeMar DeRozan entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
While Donovan told reporters he doesn’t expect Caruso’s injury to be serious, he said the team will reevaluate the super sixth man in a week.
The Bulls (16-8) have two more games—at Cleveland (13-11) Wednesday and at Miami (14-10) Saturday—before that time.
Alex Caruso is averaging 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and an NBA-best 2.2 steals per game.
