The Chicago Blackhawks will return two defensemen to the lineup Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens. Connor Murphy and Jake McCabe will be back in the mix on the blue line.

Connor Murphy missed the Blackhawks’ last three games after taking a big hit from Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin on December 2. He entered concussion protocol but returned to the ice fairly quickly, participating in the team’s morning skate on Tuesday.

Jake McCabe also missed the last three games. He departed the Hawks’ East Coast road trip after the game in Washington to attend to a family matter last week.

Among the forward group, Philipp Kurashev will enter the lineup vs. Montreal and Dylan Strome will be a healthy scratch. The Blackhawks recalled Kurashev from the AHL Rockford IceHogs on Wednesday.
