On Thursday night, Marc-Andre Fleury recorded his 500th NHL win with a 2-0 shutout of the Montreal Canadiens. The Chicago Blackhawks plan to honor the veteran netminder’s accomplishment with a pregame ceremony on Monday, December 13.
In a recent promotional email, the Blackhawks announced the ceremony and a special 29% discount on full-priced tickets for Monday’s contest.
Of course, the discount figure for this special interest offer honors Fleury’s jersey number.
Marc-Andre Fleury has spent most of his career with the Penguins and Golden Knights. However, he has become a fan favorite during his short time in Chicago. What better way to celebrate “Flower” than by packing the stands to honor an achievement only three goaltenders in NHL history have accomplished?
The ceremony will take place before the Blackhawks and Flames square off on Monday night at the United Center. Puck drop is at 6:30 PM CST.
