The NHL has postponed the Chicago Blackhawks vs. Florida Panthers game originally scheduled for Tuesday, December 21.
The Panthers are currently dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak, which caused the postponement of their games through at least December 26.
While there is no makeup date yet, the Blackhawks announced all tickets for Tuesday’s contest will automatically be valid for the new date.
Delays Around The NHL
Florida isn’t the only team requiring a scheduling pause at this time. The Calgary Flames and Colorado Avalanche are also on hold through the NHL’s holiday break.
Colorado is coming off a 5-2 loss on Thursday to the Nashville Predators, who the Blackhawks host tonight. Nashville is dealing with several COVID-related absences of their own, but tonight’s contest in Chicago will take place as planned.
As things currently stand, Tuesday’s game vs. Florida is the only new delay that affects the Blackhawks. It is the second Hawks matchup to be delayed this season, however. The postponed Flames vs. Hawks contest originally scheduled for Monday, December 13 does not have a makeup date.
