This lockout is starting to get to baseball fans. However, Chicago Cubs fans still have the holiday spirit. On Friday, Cubs fans elicited a festive response from free-agent shortstop Carlos Correa. The former Astro quote tweeted a video from MLB On Fox depicting Cubs fans changing the lyrics of the song “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” to “Correa come play in Chicago”.

Correa seemed to appreciate the gesture, as he wished Chicago fans “Happy Holidays.”

Now this of course means that Correa is coming to Chicago on a discount deal because he loves the city and its fans so much. Twitter is going to handle this extremely rationally and we all will have a happy holiday because Carlos Correa told us to.
