Bulls: Derrick Jones Jr. Ruled Out with Hamstring Injury

Jones Jr.’s injury adds to an already lengthy list of missing Bulls for tonight’s game.

The Bulls will be even more shorthanded for Monday’s game. This time it’s not due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, but instead because of an injury. Derrick Jones Jr. will miss tonight’s matchup against the Houston Rockets with an apparent left hamstring injury.

Derrick Jones Jr. was the fifth Bulls player to enter health and safety protocols earlier this month and missed the Bulls’ game against the Heat on December 11. He returned to the lineup in Sunday night’s win over the Lakers but played just six minutes before leaving.

There is no timetable for Jones to return to an already depleted Bulls lineup. Expect Alfonzo McKinnie to get extended minutes in Jones’ place.
