McClung will add another body to the Bulls, who still find themselves short-handed with six players in the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

The Chicago Bulls will sign Mac McClung to a 10-day hardship contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. McClung played his college basketball at Georgetown and Texas Tech before going undrafted in 2021.

The COVID-19 situation within the Bulls locker room has improved in recent days. DeMar DeRozan, Coby White, and Javonte Green returned to the team a few days ago, but the Bulls still have Zach Lavine, Matt Thomas, Troy Brown Jr., Ayo Dosunmu, Alize Johnson, and Stanley Johnson in the NBA’s health and safety protocols.

Mac McClung, who played primarily the point guard position in college, suited up for the Lakers Summer League team but was waived in October. He then joined the Lakers’ G League team, the South Bay Lakers, as an affiliate player.
