COVID has been hard on every NBA team, but the Chicago Bulls are certainly standing out. Although their 21-10 record indicates immense success, the Bulls have been dealing with numerous players out due to COVID throughout the season. On Tuesday, Ersan Ilyasova entered protocols before playing a game for Chicago. Now, another forward at the end of the bench has joined him. Rookie Marko Simonovic entered the NBA’s health and safety protocols today.

Simonovic becomes the 17th Bulls player sidelined due to COVID this season. Although the 6-foot-11 big man has rarely played for Chicago this year, he makes for another example of how much adversity the team has faced this year.

Recent signees Tyler Cook and Mac McClung, and the legend himself, Alex Caruso, are the only remaining Bulls who have not entered protocols this season. Bulls, please protect Caruso at all costs.
