On Sunday, the Chicago Bears were throttling the New York Giants when history was made. With Robert Quinn’s strip-sack in the fourth quarter, he set the single-season sack record in franchise history. His 18.0 sacks now top Hall of Fame DE Richard Dent’s 17.5 in the team’s record books.

In 2020, Robert Quinn fell short of expectations after signing his big contract with the Bears. The OLB had only two sacks in his first season with Chicago. However, Quinn rebounded from a tough 202 campaign with the greatest season for sacks in Bears’ franchise history and a Pro Bowl nod. Now, Quinn is proving he was worth the money that the front office gave him ahead of the 2020 season.

Quinn still has the potential to add to his record thanks to the NFL’s extension of the regular season. He’ll have a tough task ahead with the Vikings in Week 18, but Quinn can add to his team record in next week’s game.
