Nicolas Beaudin, Ian Mitchell, and Josiah Slavin will return to the AHL club.

The Chicago Blackhawks assigned three players to the Rockford IceHogs on Friday morning. Defensemen Nicolas Beaudin and Ian Mitchell and forward Josiah Slavin are heading back to the AHL club.

Beaudin and Mitchell saw sporadic time on the back end during their most recent NHL stints, so they will rejoin the IceHogs for more consistent minutes.

With Brandon Hagel and Sam Lafferty now back from COVID Protocol, Slavin will leave the Blackhawks taxi squad and return to the AHL.

On Friday night, the IceHogs begin a stretch of three games in four days. They host the Cleveland Monsters for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday and welcome the Chicago Wolves to Rockford on Monday.
