Eight former Notre Dame players have advanced to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs with their respective teams.
Six of those eight players are active, while Nick McCloud is on the Buffalo Bills practice squad and Mike McGlinchey (quadriceps) is injured for the San Francisco 49ers.
In the AFC, Matthias Farley (No. 1 Tennessee Titans) had a first-round bye and hosts Khalid Kareem (No. 4 Cincinnati Bengals) this weekend. Kareem helped the Bengals defeat the Las Vegas Raiders and Nick Martin in the first round.
In the NFC, Equanimeous St. Brown (No. 1 Green Bay Packers) hosts Ben Skowronek (No. 4 Los Angeles Rams). The Rams advanced to the second round with a victory over NFC West rival Arizona.
Robert Hainsey (No. 2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers) welcomes Aaron Banks (No. 6 San Francisco 49ers) in the other game. The Buccaneers, the reigning Super Bowl champions, took down the Philadelphia Eagles, while the 49ers upset Zack Martin and the Dallas Cowboys in the opening round.
With at least one player on each of the remaining four NFC teams, Notre Dame is guaranteed to be represented in the Super Bowl.
