Welp, the Chicago Bulls backcourt has taken a few huge hits over the last week and a half. Zach LaVine is still sidelined and Lonzo Ball just underwent surgery. Now, after a dirty play from Grayson Allen, Alex Caruso will also undergo surgery. The former Laker fractured his wrist on a flagrant-2 foul from Allen.

Caruso was fouled hard by Grayson Allen in the Bulls’ 94-90 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday. The first-year Bull drove the rim after a pass from Ayo Dosunmu and landed awkwardly after the flagrant-2 foul.

Allen is public enemy No. 1 in the city of Chicago today, and justifiably so. The foul has now cost the Bulls another valuable member on their team. Caruso just returned from a COVID-19 absence, and his defense was sorely missed while he was out. Now, two of the Bulls’ best defenders in Ball and Caruso will miss nearly two months.

In his absence, Coby White and Dosunmu will have to continue to step up for the Chicago Bulls. There is positive news that Zach LaVine might be able to return this coming week, but he, DeMar DeRozan, and the rest of the team will need to step up in order to keep the Bulls among the best in the East.
