The Chicago Blackhawks legacy night for three-time Stanley Cup champion Brent Seabrook has been postponed. The event was originally scheduled to take place on Jan. 31 prior to a game against the Vancouver Canucks. The team released the following explanation via Twitter on Monday morning.

This isn’t the first time the Blackhawks have had to shift their promotional and honorary ceremonies. Brent Seabrook’s former teammate Marian Hossa had his legacy night originally scheduled for Nov. 9 postponed indefinitely earlier this season. Hossa’s postponement came directly in the wake of the Jenner and Block report.

Unfortunately for fans who had already purchased tickets hoping to catch a glimpse of Brent Seabrook back on the ice at the United Center, the occasion will now need to wait until a future season. The final legacy night on the schedule will honor Niklas Hjalmarsson on March 3 vs. Edmonton.
