REPORTS: Quinn, Caldwell, Eberflus Associated with Bears’ HC Job

Per reports, Dan Quinn, Jim Caldwell, and Matt Eberflus are the top names for the Bears’ head coaching job after the hire of Ryan Poles as GM.

Now that the Chicago Bears have a GM, Ryan Poles will be in charge of hiring the team’s next head coach. As of Tuesday, it appears that three names are being linked to the team. However, there are conflicting reports regarding said candidates.

After hiring Ryan Poles as GM today, the #Bears are working to schedule a second interview with #Cowboys DC Dan Quinn for their head coaching job, per source.

Quinn is one of three known finalists, along with #Colts DC Matt Eberflus (who interviews Wednesday) and Jim Caldwell.

Depending on who you ask, the Bears have a different favorite in mind. However, Poles’ hire has been met with a lot of optimism from many on-air personalities and analysts, and now he’ll be able to choose his first head coach. Whether it is one of Dan Quinn, Jim Caldwell, or Matt Eberflus remains to be seen. That said, there are numerous reports swirling around the head coaching job in Chicago, including the possibility of Sean Payton coming to Chicago. However, that is purely speculation and mostly driven by fan desire.

Despite the questions regarding head coach, Ryan Poles will have the chance to pick his guy. As of now, the name includes many more experienced names rather than first-time head coaches. Now, the anticipation surrounding the next on-field leader in Chicago is ramping up.
