Mark Grote will have some big shoes to fill. The Chicago Bears sideline reporter announced via Twitter that he will be taking the place of the late Les Grobstein on 670 The Score‘s night shift.

Grote, who served as 670 The Score’s Cubs pre and postgame host from 2015-2017, has been on the Bears sideline since the change. He will now fill a role that is near and dear to Chicago sports fans’ hearts. Many, including On Tap Sports Net‘s own Joey Ricotta, were touched in one way or another by Les Grobstein’s storied career as the overnight host of Chicago sports radio.

Mark Grote will fill the seat starting with three nights a week. Per 670 The Score on Twitter, the other two nights will feature rotating hosts.
