According to Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan, there is a “very strong possibility” that Patrick Williams will return before the end of the regular season.
Donovan spoke about Williams’ potential return before today’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers. “There may be an opportunity, if everything kind of falls right, that maybe 10, 12, 14 games left in the year, maybe we could have our whole team back,” Donovan said.
Williams fractured his wrist on a flagrant foul by Knicks’ center Mitchell Robinson back on Oct. 29. At the time, the initial diagnosis projected Williams to miss four to six months. It seems that diagnosis is going to be closer to the four-month mark rather than the six-month mark.
The regular season ends on April 10 when the Bulls take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road.
