According to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Vegas Golden Knights are interested in bringing goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury back into the fold. Fleury, who the Chicago Blackhawks acquired in an offseason trade, remains one of the most likely trade candidates on the current roster.
It’s unclear if the Blackhawks will move Marc-Andre Fleury before they officially hire a new GM. Kyle Davidson, currently the interim general manager of the Blackhawks, did sign off on the firing of former head coach Jeremy Colliton. However, up until this point Davidson has yet to pull the trigger on any major moves regarding the Blackhawks roster.
The Blackhawks have conducted interviews with multiple GM candidates, including Davidson. It will be interesting to see how that process affects the Blackhawks as the trade deadline approaches. Ideally, whoever the Hawks brass chooses to steer the ship going forward would be the one to pull the trigger on a deal that would send the future Hall of Famer to any new destination. The NHL trade deadline is Monday, March 21, 2022, at 3 PM ET.
