The Chicago Blackhawks‘ search for a new general manager continues. Per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the most recently linked name to the vacancy is Toronto Raptors’ Vice President of Basketball Operations Teresa Resch.
Resch, who holds an MBA in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University, has spent the last eight years with the Raptors. The team has won one NBA title (2019) during her tenure. This isn’t the only name on the Blackhawks list of potential candidates from outside of hockey. The team has also interviewed Chicago Cubs’ assistant GM Jeff Greenberg.
At this point in time, Friedman’s report of the team’s interest is the only link to Teresa Resch. The Blackhawks have publicly announced all completed interviews to date. Should the interest in Resch result in an interview, it is likely that information will be made public by the team.
