Chicago Bulls fans can breathe yet another sigh of relief. Zach LaVine’s visit to Los Angeles to see a specialist about his left knee went “very well,” according to Billy Donovan.

Donovan added that the two-time All-Star had some swelling taken out of his knee, was given a lubricant, and is cleared for activity within the next 48 hours. LaVine will meet with the team’s doctors to discuss his minutes distribution moving forward.

LaVine has battled tightness, soreness, and swelling in the knee since early last month. An MRI taken on Jan. 15, the morning after LaVine landed awkwardly against Golden State, revealed no structural damage.

LaVine sat out the past two games because of lingering soreness and will not play against the Kings tonight.

Zach LaVine’s status for the 3-Point Contest or All-Star Game this weekend is still to be determined.
