The Chicago Red Stars have traded goalkeeper Cassie Miller to the Kansas City Current. In return, the Red Stars will receive $75,000 in allocation money.
The Florida State alum stepped up last season after the Red Stars lost Alyssa Naeher to the Olympics and injury. Miller played 18 matches for Chicago in 2021, logging over 1,300 minutes and saving 71.1 percent of goals. She earned seven clean sheets, including two in the playoffs.
Prior to playing in Chicago, Miller played for PSV in the Netherlands. During her time there, she earned five wins in five appearances, including two shutouts.
As NWSL preseason training continues, Cassie Miller is expected to join the Current’s camp this weekend.
