The Chicago Blackhawks made a series of roster moves on Saturday. Forward Lukas Reichel and defenseman Jakub Galvas are heading back to the Rockford IceHogs after brief stints in Chicago. Additionally, the team recalled defenseman Isaak Phillips and forward Josiah Slavin from the AHL club.
Lukas Reichel’s most recent NHL stint lasted three games. He averaged 13:22 of ice time and recorded three shots on goal but did not crack the score sheet during those contests. The 2020 first-round draft pick played just 8:34 in the Blackhawks’ most recent game against the Devils. Now, he will continue his development at Rockford, where he has 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) in 33 games.
Jakub Galvas also heads back to the IceHogs after filling in on the Blackhawks’ blue line on Friday night. With defensemen Calvin de Haan and Jake McCabe not in the lineup, Galvas stepped in and logged 16:54 of ice time in an 8-5 win over the Devils. He did not record a point but added three shots on goal, one hit, and four blocks. Galvas has 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 32 games at the AHL level this season.
Finally, Isaak Phillips and Josiah Slavin are back with the Blackhawks. Phillips has three games of NHL experience and Slavin has played 14 contests with Chicago. For the IceHogs this season, Phillips has 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 38 games and Slavin has 11 points (six goals, five assists) in 26 games.
