The Chicago Blackhawks have reportedly made a decision on their general manager position. Kyle Davidson, who took over in an interim role after Stan Bowman resigned, will stay on as full-time GM, according to Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff.
Shortly after Seravalli’s report, the Blackhawks posted a “General Manager Coming Soon” teaser video to their social media accounts.
Kyle Davidson was among six GM candidates the Blackhawks confirmed they conducted interviews with. However, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported the list was down to three candidates shortly after the interview portion wrapped up.
Based on Friedman’s report, Davidson beat out Jeff Greenberg (Chicago Cubs Assistant GM) and Mathieu Darche (Tampa Bay Lightning Director of Hockey Operations) for the job.
The Blackhawks will announce Kyle Davidson as their next general manager on Tuesday, per Seravalli.
