According to Rachel Galligan of Winsidr, the Chicago Sky signed Anneli Maley to a training camp contract. This move comes after the team waived Crystal Bradford on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-1 forward has been tearing it up in the Australian league, averaging 20.6 PPG and 15.9 RPG. She’s also shooting an average of 42.4 percent from the floor.
The Australian native has a strong basketball background. Her father, Paul Maley, played professionally in Australia.
A forward with Anneli Maley’s size that can rebound and score can do a lot of damage on this Chicago Sky squad. Waiving Bradford opens up door for Maley to really shine. The Sky could benefit mightily by utilizing her skill set.
